I will be driving down on saturday for the final..... Where is the best place to park near elland road?

Theres a few car parks on Elland road itself or you can park along Gelderd road and all the little side streets off them, however i can inform you that a camp of our travelling fraternity have set up camp along Gelderd road this week so be very carefull if you park along there. Other than that you can do as my mate does and park near the dragon pub and walk through the ginnell. Wherever you park it will be busy im afraid. An off the wall selection would be park in the city centre car parks and bus it down to Elland road.

And there is the lovely cottingley springs permanent campairs as well near gelderd road. Have parked near dragon before and not had any issues however will be busing it to Leeds then Leeds to elland road this weekend |

Wheres the travellers on Geldard Road? I go up and down there everyday to Gildersome and I havent seen any. As for Cottingley Springs, its a bloody mile away from near the stadium, you'll get no bother off them

Be very careful parking in side streets opposite ground. Many are 'resident permit only'.

Be wary of parking on Westley street (between ER and Beeston Hill). Traffic warden had a birthday down there in 2009

right at the bottom of churwell hill is always a good place to park as it's only about a mile from the ground,and it's also free
you can also get away very easily from there

Be very careful parking along Gelderd Road, mate of mine got a ticket there the other year and I got a ticket for parking down the street off Gelderd Road with the tunnl under the M621. Council dont have to place tickets on the offending cars as long as they have photographic evidence. They must have made a fortune there the other year.

Plenty of parking at the side of the ground, charge will be reasonable, look out for rip off merchants we were charged double to park oposite the ground on a dirt track, never fallen for that trick again, i thought my sister was going to choke the bloke who wanted 9 pounds , thats why we allways park in their ground. |
